windscreen washer hose leaking
Hi
Have a 1.8 a4 2001, the windscreen washer hose is cracked in the driver side fender and leaks.
Anyone know how to replace without having to remove the fender.
Thanks.

Probably not the hose...
1. Jack up car.
2. Remove Wheel
3. Remove fender liner
4. Undo the 1 or 2 bolts that hold the washer resevoir under the hood.
5. Remove the 2 or 3 bolts that hold the washer resevoir in the wheel well.
6. Carefully remove resevoir/washer bottle from wheel well and unplug wires and tubbing as you gain access to them.
7. Curse Audi for using 2 piece washer pump that freeze, crack, and leak.
You can pull out the pumps and use epoxy to seal the cracks if you don't want to buy new ones that the same thing will happen to.

hi
Thanks - but did check the resevoir - this holds the fluid fine. the moment I hit the washer button switch it pumps. I can literally see the hose and exactly where the leak is.
Just can't get to it to tape it up or anything.

Arlright you are going to have to get to the hose either through the wheel well or by taking the bumper off. You certainly don't need to remove the fender. If it's leaking very close to the wheel then go through the wheel well.
