my window decided one random day without ay previous symptoms to not work. Its the front driver's side window. it won't roll down. its stuck completely up. now i disconnected the door panel and when i play with the window button the motor makes noise. so i know the motor is getting a signal. there wasn't any sluggish reactions before this or any type of symptoms that point to a window regulator problem. if it is a motor problem i wonder why i hear a noise? ive looked for DIY everywhere and searched threads but i can't seem to find a clear cut answer to my situation. any and all help from the gurus would be great. cheers

 

Dno a quick fix but when my back window regulator was broken I went to a foreign car yard and got a whole new regulator, the way the Audi is, it's that whol insert, window, regulator, etc

Cost me 75$

 

i figured it'd either be the regulator or the motor. im just trying to narrow it down. so if i do buy and replace the regulator, i dont have the awful conclusion of finding out it was the motor which from what i searched almost double the cost of a regulator. ty for the info though
