Default Why does the DIC say "OK" and "Service!" at the same time?

I just got my LCD replaced and I've noticed that the DIC LCD constantly says "OK" in orange (up top) and "Service!" in red (on the bottom).

I used my scanner to clear all codes and that's after replacing the battery today. It still does it!

Does anyone know about this? Is this a service mileage interval thing?

Can it be reset/turned off?

Thanks

Huh, I had no idea you could do that in the B5. But for future reference you can also reset the service warnings through vagcom through basic settings in the cluster. You can also adjust the oil and service mileage interval so that they'll actually be useful.

I must try this on my 2000. My cluster looks different though. Mine just say SERVICE! every time I turn the car on and goes away. At least I think it does, I don't even notice anymore.

I believe it should work on yours as well.
