Who's changed their clutch without flywheel resurfacing?
I had to replace my dads brake system, so I let him borrow my a4 since I have another car to drive around for a few days until we fixed his truck. I noticed the clutch is starting to smell since I got it back.
Anyway, I guess these cars have a dual mass flywheel, that may or may not be able to be resurfaced. I've found the manufacturers recommendations for the flywheel, and they say that the flywheel does not need to be changed for 1 clutch change.
Paying $600 for a new flywheel seems kinda absurd to me so... whose just changed their clutch with success without a new flywheel?

i definatley know there are plenty of people who have done it, as i plan to also, just putting in a stage 2 southbend clutch without a new flywheel or having mine resurfaced.. i also dont wanna spend the extra money to throw in a lwfw even though im aware of the benefits.. money talks ya know? haha plus this thing is my "slightly tuned" DD so to me its a little more than i need to worry about.. hopefully someone can chime in a give some owner feedback who have done so..
