White 99 2.8 260,000 miles SHould I buy?
I just wanted some of your opinions on this audi. Its a white 99 2.8 manual trans in great shape. all highway miles 260,000 of them. I have bmw that last a long time but not an Audi. The car is going to need a clutch soon, and needs a flex pipe, o2 sensors. It kind of lacks power. I think its because of the exhaust and o2 sensor.
Also how much would and engine cost and to be out in?
I never see white ones like this. How much should i oay for it. He is asking $2200. i thiknk its high.
Any thoughts?
Thanksa

I paid $2000 for a 96 A6Q / 130k miles... Has new tires, brakes, TB, WP, fluid changes, excellent interior with only the LCD backlight out and paint dings (city car). Starts and runs quietly and strongly.....You decide.

Right... that's like the line of the century.
Audi V6s run just as long as Bimmer I6s... but Audis don't require valve adjustments every year.
$500 in parts, $800+ in labor.
$200, and will likely need 2 cats, $500 each aftermarket, $1600 each with labor from the dealer.
You probably need all 4, $400-600 depending on brand. Save if you can find them used.
It's a V6... but it likely needs cats.
Not sure what you're asking... if it passes a compression test, replace the T-belt and run it until it dies.
They are around. It's not a rare car by any means.
Where is this car (and you) located?
