Default Where do I put the HID ballast if its not a slim one?

I just got my HID kit and I think I have it all figured out how to install and stuff but everything that shows where to put the ballast says to mount it to the underside of the headlight in that box where the OEM one would be. I wanted to be able to seal it up and it definitely wont fit in there cuz its too thick. Where should I mount it to? Thanks

I mounted the pass. side ballast to my heat shield for the intake... and then the driver side to the bumper right underneath the light... it fits perfect right there... hope this helps

zip ties will work.. or u could get sum universal brackets to mount it on..

the HIDs i got hav big ballasts too (bigger than the slim OEM ones).. i ziptied the driver-side ballast onto the power steering case & the passenger-side ballast i ziptied to a lil section under the frame (right under the passenger-side headlight assembly).. u could also buy sum wire-conduit to organize the wires together & protect it from weather...

theres a bunch of options.. just depends on how much u wana spend.....

i mounted the driver's side with the screw for the airbox because i took my airbox out. you can also mount it under the headlights with zipties. you can probably mount it inside the airbox while using the airbox without trouble, the airbox doesn't really get hot and the ballast isn't really big enough to obstruct a large amount of air flow

almost all the balasts are the same thats why haha, companies argue why theirs is better than the others, but ive seen youtube's of them disassembling them and turns out they are identical
