Default Where is the diverter valve located/how to tell if it's broken?

I have a 2000 A4 1.8T, with a turbo chip around 15 psi. I have a stock diverter valve which I believe has broke because my car does not sound/run the way it used to, I am also noticing alot worse gas mileage, 12-14 city vs how I used to get around 17. I've seen on other threads how a bad dv can cause poor mileage also. I also have been getting the following errors which may be related.
1.Charge Pressure
Control:Positive
Deviation p1557
Static - No

2.secondary air
Injection system
Incorrect flow
Detected : P0411

These codes always come on at the same time and for the most part after I've been driving for a while.
Where is the DV located and is there and easy way to test it to see if it's broken or not before I order a new one? Also I've been looking at the 007 Forge DV on ecstunnings website

Your dv is the very front passenger side of the car in back of the radiator if you have a skid plate your gonna have to take it it off to get to it if not then it should be right there... if it's the stock 1 it should be all black and round with 2 outlet's in it one at the bottom and one on the side.

If it's stock, and you're chipped, consider it broke and replace it anyway... easiest way to find it: It's right where Miami said it is. Find the vacuum line coming off the intake manifold and trace it down. It should go under a coolant line across the front of the engine and down to the DV.

DV is usually required to be replaced after a chip. The stock won't be able to hold the amount of boost after the chip.

+1 to the 007, I love mine.

I went with the polished version though.

So what do you guys use for a clip for the little vacuum line? I've never seen a hose clamp that small, do I need to hunt one up or is it OK to just skip it? I was all ready to install my new 710N last weekend, then I saw that there and backed off.

I just use small zip ties (wire ties, cable ties, etc.) on all my vac line connections. I see no reason to go out and buy more tiny *** single use clamps, plus pliers to use them, when zip ties work just as well

zip tie... that's what I meant... same thing... (not a wire tie, like from a loaf of bread)
