Now for $650 thats a hell of a deal, but am I getting the same quality ride? Or even close?
You're going to be looking at an airbag kit if you want that much flexibility. Vmaxx will make your car look good, but ride bouncy without swapping the shocks. Vmaxx is also nowhere near as stiff as Eibach or H&R drop springs.

Even Eibach is a low enough drop to cause headaches over snow and speed bumps. For your situation, I'd recommend an OEM sport spring an Bilstein shock combo with Hotckis H-Sport Sways and some beefier endlinks. That way, you keep a reasonable ride-hight without looking like a monster truck and your handling will be greatly improved. Stick with 16" or 17" wheels to get the best fender well gap. 18"s will look like you're riding too high.

Yeah, the plan is 17" RS4 or RS6 reps. So would the VMaxx be any good if I got a good shock?

Decent, but still not as aggressive as an H&R adjustable coil-over kit. With a good shock, you'll reduce the bouncy ride and will probably be great for the street. There are other kits like Tein and Vogtland, just gotta look and do a little research to see which one fits your needs and budget.
