Default When will the insanity stop?

So I did a quick search because my turn signals stopped working. It appears that in my 99 the flasher realy that controls the turn signals is built into the hazzard switch, is that correct? So in order for me to make what would normally be a $10 repair I have to buy a $70 part?

I'm seriously considering rewiring my car so I can use a standard flasher relay.... this kind of stuff is getting rediculous!

It's not like they go out often? Just suck it up and buy the right part! If your worried about that though you might want to sell the car, it will never end I promise. I've dumped 3k into my car in 2 years. Including mods though. But mods are < 1k
