well, my second option would be flat black, I think that might look alright, even though it seems like every Silver Audi does black wheels and I'm not a huge fan of them on most cars (Hibiscus Red is a different story though)

It's a no-brainer. Gloss black with a silver lip and anyone who disagrees is wrong.
[:'(] hmmm I don't want to get all black rims... and I also like shiny things... eureka! I'll go black with a chrome lip

How do you propose to do that?

No, a bright silver lip does the trick nicely, I think.

The main point is that if you're running black wheels, regardless of car color, you need a contrasting lip to avoid looking like you're riding around on steel wheels.

VW01, that (to me anyhow) is the perfect look for a silver B5.

I have gunmetal wheels with chrome lips, and I'm loving it! Check it out on my album if you like. But I'm also digging the Flat black! I'm planning to just spray paint the stock wheels black and use them for winter since I do not want salt deteriorating my TSW wheels.

Its actually pretty easy, you just sand, fine sand and then use mothers aluminum polish and they will look just like chrome.
