I thought about doing it myself...but I don't have a press or have access to one. I got lucky because when I realized my Rear Bearings needed to be replaced, I was planning on replacing my brake rotors and pads anyway. So I did my front brakes myself and took the car to my mechanic to do the rear brakes and he did the rear hub bearings at the same time as the brakes. Saved a bunch of time for him which meant I got alot more done for less money, so it worked out.

I supplied the pads, rotors and hub bearings (from ECS) to him and I think the cost was around $145.00 or so for the labor, if I remember correctly. Took a few hours, I thought it was a solid deal.

That was a good deal. You have to remove all that stuff to get to the bearings, he just put on the new stuff when it went back together. Bearings are about $40/side and any machine shop can do them for you for about another $30/bearing. You just have to remove the knuckle and bring it to them. Did both fronts and it was $150 in parts and the press together. A shop wanted $550 to do both

Yeah, I paid $40 or so for each bearing from ECS, and like I said, if you need your brakes done, you might as well do it at the same time, because it all has to come off anyway. Good luck!
