Default Wheel Bearing/Brake problems

Hey guys, just made an account here because i need some help. I have been browsing the forums for a few weeks now since i got my audi and i have finally hit a problem. I have a grinding/screeching noise coming from what seems to be the rear passenger side wheel well. The noise seems rotational if that makes sense. The best i could come up with online that it was the wheel bearings but just today while driving home I noticed that my brakes became very squishy and had to almost floor them to come to a complete stop. Checked the fluid and it was fine so I'm not sure what the problem is. With the new problem with braking I figure maybe the brakes are the cause of the noise but am not sure how to check. Also I did a few of the "street" tests to see if it was the wheel bearing but didn't come back with any noticeable differences. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds to me like you've got worn out brake pads "grinding and screetching" against the rotor. Fluid level isn't normaly affected by worn out pads, but stopping distance is!

Brake issue would be my guess, your pedal going to the floor would show a hole in a line and lack of brake fluid... A wheel bearing has more of a clunking noise at low speeds and a roaring sound as u speed up.

Ive owned my 2000 A4 Quattro 2.8 since June of 2010, and it is getting increasingly loud from the rear, almost like I have to shout with someone in the passenger. One of my buddies said he is going to bring ear plugs next time. Does this sound like wheel bearings?
