Whats under the black molding beneath the door moldings?

I have no idea. Probably the bare metal frame. How bad is yours messed up? Can you post a pic?

So when people pain their lowers they paint that as well or do they rip that off and paint beneath that?

Thats a great question, and the only reason I haven't painted the lowers on my 00.

QuatroA4, very interesting. Very good to know. So just rip it rite off your saying cause whats holding it is only glue? Also, in your first picture, what are those clips on the rite side? Last question, in your last picture, is that what it looks like after you remove all the glue and paint it or just remove all the glue and wax it? I appreciate your help, thanks much.

Haha, no, well yes. Out of towners think it's a cow-town. I've never seen a cow in town, but there are some historic farms in the area. We're smack in the middle of two major cities in CT and about an hour out of Manhattan, so it's a rich-*** cow town. My family moved here years ago, before that was the case.
