Default Whats under the black molding beneath the door moldings?

I would like to know what is under the black molding beneath the door moldings. To better clarify that, the rubber skirt moldings on the side, not the black door molding but instead the part where it says Audi when you open the door. If I were to rip that off since mine is ripped a little at the begiining in the corner and its anoying the heck out of me, what will be beneath that? Can i get that painted the color of the car if i removed that?

There are clips holding it on.

No, not that side door molding. The molding on the the base of the door, the lower rubber piece.

Yes the silver trim that says Audi and that whole black rubber piece that runs from the front to the back door. Is it just held by glue or some screws?

If you open the door, you'll see on the inside of the door that there's a screw that holds on one end. Get that one screw off and slide the trim towards the back of the car and it should come off. Do not pull the molding away from the car otherwise you will break the clips. Just slide.

^ I think he means the silver door-sill, not the rubberized door trim "skirt" things that always break.

I believe the door sills are stuck with adhesive.

You need to clarify or take a picture or something because everyone is really confused.

Only 00+ have the chrome Audi sill, so most people with 96-99 would have no idea what he's talking about. Its actually part of the very bottom molding that goes inside the door sill and outside under the car.

onepoint8tee, that is exactly what I am talkin about. I apologize if i was not more clear. So if i were to take the whole trim off from front to rear, what would be behind that? Sorry for the confusion.
