I am stumped. I don't know what else to do. I have fixed everthing that I thought would be the problem, but it still runs 225 to 250. Again my mechanic said that was in spec with Audi. Maybe I should call a dealership and ask???

are you two runnin the tiny oil filters, cuz if you are id go grab the over sized Mann filter. Runnin the small one shouldnt cause the temp to run that hot, but it doesnt help.

I am not sure what I have in it. I just had the oil change at the same time I had the oil cooler replaced.

That makes me feel better, lol. Knowing mine is normal.

I honestly cant think of any other reason why your car would be running hotter
than normal. Maybe there is build up in a line somewhere? I don't know and that
would be nearly impossible to find.

I drove the car for the first time for a decent distance since having my oil cooler replaced. The oil stayed between 200 and 225. I talked to the mechanic and he is going to check the oil sending unit to see if it is working correctly. I am pretty happy that it did not get to 225. We will see come June in Vegas how high it gets. He said that the oil should be about 20 degrees higher than the coolant temp.
