what are some possible engine swaps for a 96 audi a4 2.8 quattro?

Even if you get the V8 installed and everything working perfectly, pound-for-pound, poop will be worth more than your modified Audi. Like it or don't, believe it or not, you're way better off selling the A4 and buying a "cookie cutter" with the engine you really want installed in the factory.

Profit isn't even remotely the point, but to just **** money away on a car that will become essentially worthless just makes no sense; especially when better/faster/cheaper "cookie-cutter" factory original models will cost less to buy and recover far more when you sell it.

well i know profits not the point but if you enjoy it and don't want a cookie cutter car a swap is a good idea. Any car your throwing money at no matter what it is is depreciating in value as you stand there and look at it. Personally i don't think an s4 is all that good, i like more of the unique style. Anyone can do an s4 its a bunch of bolt on parts. If you build your own car chances are your not too worried about selling it.
