soon, i would like to black out my rings and maybe the sidemarkers. what kind of paint should i use?

 

Well for the rings, I'd actually suggest not using paint at all. There's some stuff called Plasti-dip. You can prolly find it at Home Depot or Lowes or some such. It's way tougher than paint so you won't have to worry about chipping.

As for the side markers, I'd suggest using the spray tint available at AutoZone or Advance

 

how are u planning on taking off the badges to paint?? is the rest of the trunk debadged already?

 

i was thinking of taping everything around them and just paint them while they are on there. or i might just use a heat gun and debadge?

 

i would definitely debage and reapply... there is no way u would be able to avoid overspray or missing a small part that shoulda been taped off

 

do you by any chance know how to remove the rings from the stock grille? i havent looked at it yet but anything would be helpful.

 

They just pop off. If you pop the hood and have a look at the back of the grille, you'll see the little tabs that hold it on. Its easiest to pop the whole grille off, then mess with the rings with it off the car.
