what do you think? add on: urethane fiberglass ABS plastic
my cheap *** slef is having temptations at picking up the rs4 fiberglass from bumper for like 200 bucks shipped. would a solution to the wear issue of the fiberglass be in using a 14mil urethane film that is cheap and used for protecting bumpers? could this allow the fiberglass to stand up to long highway trips, bottoming out once or twice and say tapping a curve? i mean otherwise all other type of accidents would result in having to buy a new bumper anyways.
what do you guys think? will the film do the trick?

The less $ you spend the lower the quality you will receive...
I have seen quite a few cheap fiberglass bodykits with pretty decent fitment...
I actually bought a fiberglass front bumper for my miata, with a pretty good fit, after some cutting and a little added resin...
the question you have to ask yourself is...how often do you see a ricer whos fromnt bumper is cracked to ****?
all the fu<king time...even if you put the eurethane bra over the fiber, the bumper will still have the tendency to crack
you have a few different options
1-buy a piece of **** and regret it
2-buy a nice Rs4 replica front and stuff it with a fmic (the bumper isn't aesthetically pleasing without a nice big fmic)
3-get an S4 front...which would definately be the way to go!
I am going to stick with the stock set-up for a long while, all I am going to do is paint my lowers and possibly get a set of S4/like sideskirts....
well, gl!

RE: what do you think?
i agree go with a used S4 bumper its cheaper, its stronger, and its OEM so you know it will fit. not to mention if you want that big mouth look, which really looks good if you havea FMIC you can cut some of the tabs and its open up. def dont waste 200 on a POS
