Default What is the acutal power gain of catalyser delete

I see poeple putting in test pipes and removing the stock catalysers and i'm wondering what is the actual power gain ?

And any difference in sound ?

Other noticeable differences ?

P.s. my cat is still good so not too restricted.

you guys call it a catalyser up there? lol

if its still good and not in pieces, i doubt you'll see much in the way of power (maybe 5 or 10 hp?) but it can't hurt. A test pipe will change the sound and it'll definitely smell cool though, especially if you run 93

EDIT: also, no emissions tests? you WILL fail w/o cats

No tests here (only an inspection if your car was not plated/registered for over a year... so anyone who renews their plates every year is fine, and even though it's just a visual check and like handbrake, lights, rust and stuff).

And anyone got a video of the sound ? does it sound like a civic?

i have a video on youtube of my exhaust.. its with a 2.5" VMR test pipe to a 2.5" downpipe to 2.25 resonated borla exhaust all the way back.. it sounds awesome.. has a little gargle.. no civic sound at all whatsoever.. my car in my opinion of course haha sounds how a 4 cylinder car with an exhaust should.. of course i have other mods as well which also adds to the sound but, the gains i would say are minimal.. it adds a little bit of torque down low and the turbo can spool faster and easier.. its def worth the money to get one thats for sure.. and the smell.. well i burn 93 and she can get a little stinky with the windows down in the heat of the summer.. but i love it.. gives your exhaust a little more loud..

yea starfish in a normal application it will, but my APR tune has a test pipe code out built in, so when i threw mine in, i had my Oxys just thrown in and away i went.. no codes.. but if your not tuned, or your tune doesnt have the code out for it, its most likely gunna, and you gotta space the Oxys out a little bit further so they arent so close to the flow..
