Default weird vibration in rear

Ok so im looking to buy a 97 audi a4 1.8t quattro. car has 134k on it the guy wants 2800 obo. Took it for a testdrive I come to a stop and make a turn the rear end seems to have a faint vibration is this normal with awd? i really like the car but dont wanna buy it if something is goin to puke on it? Also is it normal for the automatics to shift really fast through the gears, because my g/f had a vw passat that did the same thing and the trans was just rebuilt in here car. thanks for the help in advance and sorry if this is a newbie question...

vibratiosn in the back can be many things, but the only thing i can think of is out of balance wheels. also yes the tranny shifts quickly through the gears, its pretty much economy mode but from what i hear its adaptive so if you floor it continuously it will adapt your habits.

It only seems to do it turning from a stop. also is 2800 a good price for a 97? and what kinda potential do these cars have? im moving from a turbo talon awd to an audi. just looking to move up in class.

Rear wheel bearings always go at around 100k-120k so that might be it. If it gets louder when you load that side in a corner, its most likely that. Could be CV's too. Niether of which are reasons to turn a car down, just bargaining points. $2800 is a great price, cant go wrong for that money. Make sure the timing belt and turbo are ok, check for accident repairs, general signs of shenanigans, and get service records. And remember preventative maintenance is your friend.

are timing belts pretty accessible on these? and i will check the shaftplay on the turbo as well. the guy has 2800 obo so i might try to get him down a little with the rear and i noticed the heated seats dont work and the radio needs a passcode so all that i should be able to get him down a little bit.
