Here's the low down..
when I turn On the Climate Control with "Econ" Off.. The car does its job fine without any weird smell coming from the air vents.
When I push the Econ button to ON; there is a weird oily smell coming into the car from the vents, especially when the car is Immobile at a stop light..
Any clues??

 

i would change your cabin filter, even if it isn't it, probably needs to be changed, then see if the odor is still there

 

where is the cabin filter located? i wanted to clean mine LOL

 

under the wiper shroud, by the battery, you can't clean it, you have to replace it

 

I changed it.. it's located at the top-left side under the hood.

 

No clues anybody??? (o.O)

 

it is hard to tell a smell through the net... maybe you need to find someone close or just buck up and have someone tell you what it is

 

oki, but still.. do you guys have any idea why it would smell Oddly from the vents Only when "Econ Mode" in Climate Control is On?

spray some smelly good in through the cabin filter area, you probably have some moisture that molded or somethi ng

 

econ i believe pulls just are from outside. Even though you replaced the filter, you still have those engine vapors that can creep through. Try and run it with the hood up and see if that makes a difference. If it doesn't, then kraut is probably right and you have a science experiment growing in there
