Default weird fuel gauge behavior

My fuel gauge is kinda messed up, it jumps around and is never constant at one readings. So I never know how much gas I have. Im thinking its my fuel sending.unit. I cant seem to find the diy. What do you guys.think is the issue?

Also another thing that happened, I was in empty (according to my fuel gauge) and yiu know when you let it pump gas by its self it stops when the tank is full? Well I was doing that and it stopped at 2/3 a tank. Not sure if the tank was full or what happened.but according to my fuel gauge it was only 2/3 of a tank. Any feedback on this?

It's the sending unit, very common. Check audiworld's tech area, there's a fix for it.

Yeah thats what I figured. Can the sending unit cause the gas station pump to stop at 2\3?

No, it only reports the fuel level to the gauge. If the pump is shutting off, it has to do with the evap system a d a valve somewhere. I don't remember what/where but the Search will find it.
