Default Want To Get a Full Size Pansenger Mirror...Questions

I want to get a full sized passenger mirror to get rid of the stub. I have a question though, after I get the symetrical mirrors I want to get the chrome mirror caps. Do they just lock on the capsover the mirrors or do you have to take off the whole mirror. Because, I was thinking shouldI hold off on getting the full size mirror if I could just buy the glass and put it in the chrome caps. Lasty, I'm not sure if in the link that's the mirror I should be looking for I'm going to have to get it painted anyway and this seems like a good deal. So pretty much is this what I should be looking for in both links thanks!

If you look at the description for the mirror itself, it says, "Power, Heated, Folding, Early Model, Short Housing 7.5" x 4.5" " - so I think it's just a replacement stubby, despite the photo they show you.

Could I just buy the symetrical caps and just buy glass or do I need the mirror as well?

What do you guys think of this deal. I have a silver car but I could always get it painted or just throw the caps on it I guess, seems like a good price to get rid of the stub.

The innards are different, so you'll need the whole assembly, not just the cap and the mirror. I agree with Trey, just find one in a scrap yard or a parts car in the classifieds that hasboth full-size mirrors and pick that up.
