sort of...at like 60 you cant hear it...which is weird and leading me to think that it is the flex plate, but if you do little quick revs it gets louder and stronger

okay that sounds good to me because the engine is going so fast the plate is balancing it self out, So if you rev it at like 4k and hold it is the noise consistent or does it get a bit quieter?

i did a 3k test yesterday and it was not knocking or ticking at all...which is making me lean towards the flex plate

yeah we did jiggleo's TB last weekend. well i didn't do much, just drove him to get a VCG lol. i say run some seafoam through the engine and see if anything changes. worst case is you can borrow a truck with a hitch, rent a tow bed from U-haul and get it done here. with all of us working on it, 1 day is all it should need even for an engine swap. it'll cost you about 150 round trip instead of getting a tow truck. you could also take off the valve cover and take a look to see if anything is out of wack. you could also try using a screw driver to see if you can find exactly where to sound is. you just put a flathead tip on different spots of the engine and put your eye on the handle. you'll feel vibrations in sync with the sound in your head if you've found the right spot.

AutoRX is more appropriate for such a problem than Seafoam.
