PB blast everything you'll be working a day or two beforehand, keep spraying until you start working. The caps in the engine bay that cover the two nuts holding in the front suspension are a pain in the *** to get out and may take longer than you expect. Other than that, it's pretty straight forward and extremely simple. Good luck, post pictures when you're done.

Yeah, do not take out that top bolt. I think the way I did it without removing that upperbolt is to unbolt the control arm the coilover is mounted to, where it attaches to the frame. Then I think the I unbolted the bolt that attaches the sway bar to the control arm. (http://www.audiworld.com/tech/wheel28.shtml 3rd picture down, both bolts, plus the control arm to frame bolt.) It's not that bad, just time consuming. PB blaster is definately going to be your friend!

I did my shocks and springs a couple months ago, it took about 6 hours, but that's cause I had to take apart the old springs and shocks to get parts off of them and my helper had to leave half way through.
