Default valve cover gasket

i just developed a major stutter at idle and more so while driving and a flashing check engine light but no code reader on hand to check it out

got it home (less then 2 miles away) oil pressure was good so wasnt too too worried besides the knocking noise

pulled the coil packs off and second one i did found the plug well covered in oil. started the engine and no change in the noise of it while running. looks like ill be needing to do the spark plugs 2 weeks sooner then i planned on.

just looking for opinion on my diagnosis of the issue

thanks

was the oil on the top of the spark plug above where it screws into the head or was the oil on the plug at the bottom on the electrode?

ontop of the plug didnt pull the plug out yet but its basiclly standing oil ontop

plus a little bit more on the stem from coil to the plug

waitting for a ride to pick up new plugs and a gasket in a few mins so i figured i would post about it

You can clean as much as you can, just make sure you rinse any loose debris off so it wont find its way down to your oil pan and into your oil pickup screen.
(If you would like, i have OEM gasket set for sale. let me know)
