I have a 1997 and a 1998 Audi A4 2.8 quattros...I've tried recoding the Central Locks (35) and it won't let me change the default number (12172), any ideas as to why? I hit 'do it' and it just defaults back to the original number (12172)?? I have tried many variations to recode, none work, it just defaults back after i hit 'do it'?

both cars won't let me do it, although both have alarms and key fobs??
www.A4mods.com suggested going into the central convenience module (46), neither one of my Audi's has this module?

Any ideas? Anyone else had this issue?
