Default VAG-COM Question??? don't laugh :)
Ok so ive been hearing about vag com here and there on this forum and after doing some reading i kind of want it to have it on my laptop and in my car. Now my questions is...
Where can i get the software? Is it free or you have to pay for it? I found USB cable for sale for 30 bucks but i cant find the software...
Also... with vag com what are some of the cool features/hacks for our cars b5's. I heard you can make Fog Independent mod with a code and you can reprogram few things here and there but what are some of the very useful features you can think of???

So I just downloaded a free VAG-COM and it seems to be the latest one with 9000+ codes loaded. So now i guess i need the USB Cable...

k-line. you dont need the CAN bus. if your going ebay get a generic USB-OBDII cable that supports 409.1 version of vagcom
