Default Using aluminum rivets for window regulator??

I'm replacing my window regulator, and I just went to the hardware store for new rivets, but they only sell steel rivets in 1/8". that's not big enough. so i bought some 3/8" alum rivets and some rivet washers, but i'm still worried about their strength...does everyone order larger steel rivets from the dealership?? if not, where can i get bigger steel rivets? i'm surprised i didn't see this issue come up while i was searching for write-ups..i'm assuming everyone must be using aluminum rivets

I used aluminum rivets for my repair....I used 5mm x 12mm which is WAY to big. Aluminum will be fine. I got my rivets from The Home Depot
