You think it could have fucked with my ecu or didit not do anything at all?

 

your ecu is fine dont worry. You might be having a problem with the cable communicating with vista. I use XP but try and check if the com port is seeing your vagcom cable. Sorry if I sound complicated, I work in computers.

 

first off, what are you using, unisettings or lemmiwinks?

sounds like lemmiwinks. so you have established the connection between your ecu and lemmi right? and how many times have you tried to write your new settings? also, are you getting any pop ups at all?

 

If it works right it should save the data for the next time you read. i use xp with lemmi and i have no problems. I would sugggest while you are figuring out the connection problem you only test it with your idle rpm. cause if it is changing it and not showing you can't tell but if it does that with the rpms you'll see it on your tach
