Default Uhm, hose connected to nothing?

Today ive been doing some little stuff with my car changing the oil and spark plugs then i gave the air filter a good cleaning. While waiting for the air filter to dry i figured id take off the rest of the air box because i have a CEL for my SAI and heard it might just be because of a cracked hose or something. Well after i took off my air box i see this ribbed plastic tube that is just sitting there one end is connected to something and the other end is just right there. Can anyone tell me what it is or goes to. Heres a pic i took of it.

if you have the stock intake box, that's supposed to take filtered air from the box. i have the evoms intake kit which came with a tiny filter to stick on that line

yeah after taking a closer look thats what i figured it was for and while trying to connect it to my air box it pulled right out of where it was connected . I figure its not too big of a deal is it, I might get around to fixing it soonish depending on work and school.

If you get crap in there it could take out your Secondary Air Pump.... Could be already since you have a CEL for it.

from what ive heard the SAI is pretty much useless (for lack of a better term) and all it does is puff some air into the cylinders for the first 30 seconds to min, so im not going to be too worried about its going out. It just makes an annoying sound when starting up the car.

well it also affects your inspection because it's part of the emissions. it's one of the readiness statuses that you have to pass

Default No thread-jacking but I also have missing hose

Today I was replacing my vacuum line going from intake manifold to N249 Recirculating Valve (the line people usually take boost readings from).
While in there, I spotted 1/4" hose piece, like a nipple. I guess it is attached to Sec. Air Inj. Solenoid Valve N112, see the picture:

So that unknown piece of tube looks like a vent i.e. cut off vacuum line, 90 deg shape. Is it the it's supposed to be or I am missing something? No CEL, no issues, just curiosity
