im not really sure bout the v6's... but id check around the oil filter first...

 

where your dip stick enters the oil pan area, that gasket might have cracked and failed over time. the other thing to check is the low oil sensor, that went on my car, and it started with a few small drips here and there and then one day i went out to my car and there was a puddle under neath it. though i cant remember if that was passenger side or not it just kinda made a large puddle.
