Default Turn Signal Relay Help- 99 A4 - Pix

Issue: Left/Right signal makes the dash click around where the item in the pic is once, then nothing happens. The turn signal light also flashes once with that click on the dash.

I pulled it out (I think the hazard unit- as shown in pic) which I believe is what controls the turn signals. I was looking for a relay inside to clean the connectors as I saw in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QN-tNDB7DpE
But mine looks different.

Is this the part I am needing to fix or do I have the wrong one?

How do I fix it?
Thanks
Dan

EDIT: Just managed to figure it out.
See pic: next to the spun wire thing is there it makes contact to cause the flashing. I just took a tool and quickly scuffed up that area- prob broke thru some white stuff thus allowing it to make contact again- plugged in and both hazards and signals now work! hope this helps someone with the OTHER design of flasher module. - see pic for area I am talking about.

Mine just started malfunctioning, when i flip left or right, the flashing blinks 2 or 3 times and shuts off.

Sometime it works steady and then shuts off, then sometimes it works for a minute or 2,left and right but then it won't.

Perhaps this may be the solution to my issue or that Hazard fix switch video you have posted there.
