valid argument but not always true. if she has a 96-00 and has a k03, then a k04 would would be a difference compared to a k03s that 01+ have. and if you do a upgrade though g-popshop.com, they put the k03s compressor wheel on with a k04 turbine which produces more hp together (up to 250 chp with supporting mods and tuning) then a k04 or k03s. I would only upgrade if your going to chip your ecu for it though... otherwise, just buy a used k03 from vortex or something.

if the bearings bad, it creates a lot of play for the blades to move around, and hitting the compressor wheel at a billion miles and hour causes them to bend and will eventually seize, and thats not good but it would most likely take a long time for that to happen. when the bearing goes then the turbo needs to be rebuilt or a new one needs to be bought.

A little clarification please. G-popshop.com takes my old turbo compressor wheel and puts a Ko4 turbine? Or I buy the unit already made with those components? My concern would be who knows how my compressor wheel is. Also, what supporting mods?
