Default Turbo Timer

So my first big paycheck just came in and I'm looking to buy a turbo timer first before my turbo starts acting up. Been looking around at some from HKS and Greddy? Which one would recommend?

neither, you only need a turbo timer on older turbo cars. Just drive a little slower a few miles before you get home. You may be referring to a boost controller?

Do you run a big turbo?
If so, and you think you need one, i run a greddy auto timer.
But if i have to replace it in the future ill go with innovates wideband timer, since i already have their wideband setup.

As of right now I'm running with a stock one. But plan to upgrade in the future.

Spend that money on basic maintenance.

If your not running a bigger turbo with more boost i wouldn't say you need one. You can just let your car idle for a minute or two before you turn it off so the turbo cools down a little before shutting it off.

Like others have stated not needed unless you have a bigger turbo. In my opinion its only seriously needed if, you track your car or autocross it.
