Default Tune question

I got maestro for my Jetta...i know wrong section, but the B5 guys are my fav and are smart and can solve this.

I just got stage 1 tune
colder plugs gapped to .28

I have a slight miss in third and when i get on it. All coils I'm guessing are good because they worked prefect before the tune. Its not pulling a misfire code but I can feel it. Where do i Start?

if you got maestro run some logs. it should tell you exactly where your misfiring and how bad and if timing is being pulled. also, word of advice, if you got a spare $80 sitting around you might as well upgrade to fsi coils if you havent already since you will be in the future.

I already have the FSI coils. They are fairly new AFAIK so im staying away from that theory.

I took some logs yesterday but didn't really pay attention and forgot to save. What am I looking for in the logs? Will it be obvious? Or do I read every number and find the ones that don't fit?

Thanks for the help Redline.

dude funny thing that happen to me the exact same thing when i got my pc16 file i would misfire no codes specially at high end i could here the pop and shake, i re gap my plugs to .28 and worked but now my idle and low end would misfire so then i just change plugs to some BOSCH Super 4 sparkplugs that require no gaping and i been fine ever since, i got mine at walmart. now no codes no misfires no shakes no lean codes no rich codes nothing all in perfect running conditions.

ive done a decent mount of research on plugs and ive come to the conclusion that expensive multielectrode plugs are only better than standard copper core plugs in one way: longevity. by all means id try some different ones. you never know what youll find. btw what plugs are you running? bkr7e's i assume?
