Default tried to replace LCD now ABS always on?

I tried to replace my instrument clusters LCD, and now, the ABS pump constantly goes off.

And the LCD is just solid red, No lines, nothing. Mainly concerned about the ABS, as the LCD never worked. But if anyone has any suggestions on the LCD, that'd be nice too.

The car is an A4 B5 1998 1.8t AEB quattro. The instrument cluster has the RED plug in the middle with analog clock.

The display was a chinese make of some sort, but I don't think that has anything to do with it not displaying lettering. Is it possible that I have it upside down? I'd like to think I'm not that ignorant, but who knows.

You might have shorted out some contacts when soldering, go over everything again to make sure it's all fine.

If the old one never worked then you may have had ABS issues already, no? See if you can pull any ABS codes Eh?
