Default Transmission swap

Hi all I am new here.
I have been looking at A4's for awhile haven't bought one yet.

Came across one on craigslist for $600. The listing just says car is great but has a bad transmission. I haven't owned any audi before. Is it straight forward swapping out a transmission on these cars? I have done many FWD and RWD transmission removals. I am curious if the quattro system complicates this or is just an in and out procedure. The car is a 98 2.8V6 MT

Here is the listing
Audi A4 1998 - v6

Thanks
Any feedback is appreciated. I thought this would be a cheaper way to get into an A4 rather than spend 5K on an operating model.

I like that interior color. Nice.

I've pulled an auto on a V6. Not much room, a lot has to come off just to get to the trans bolts. I assume the manual (I think that's a manual) is the same, but there's more room as the trans is smaller. At the end of the day, its just wrenching. If you have more time than money, go to it.

Awesome color combo. The trans removal isnt too big of a deal, if you can wrench go for it.

Well the car sold already. I guess it really was a good deal. Just needed to jump on it faster. Still in the hunt for an A4...
At least I learned a lot about the A4 in a short period of time to figure out if this car was worth.
Thanks for the replies.
