Well I think I posted about it before but my transmission makes a noise in first gear while accelerating. On decel it is silent every other gear is silent in neutral its silent. So far professional conclusion from the guys at our shop is that I must have a bent tooth on first gear or something (bought it like this so I dont know when it started or why). My question is has anyone dropped the transmission for the same reason and figured out exactly what happened. I'm looking at a new 32000 mile transmission for 800 but I would love to not have to spend that money. What sucks is the transmission works perfect...

 

I just put in a used tranny and am experiencing the same problem. I am thinking of replacing 1st gear in this newer tranny from the old one. Anyone have this problem too?
