Transmission Fluid Change

i will take pictures this week when i do it. You can just use a little siphon pump, or a small hose and funnel.

and assuming the ones i have fit, you can get them at autozone diff was just regular hex bolts fyi too

Does the rear diff take the same gear oil as the trans? I really should have done both of them this summer but between my car and my GF's TT I ran out of good weather.

it can take gl5 or gl4 vs the trans that takes gl4 only, brass synchro friendly

I used Redline MT90 (GL4) in the tranny and Redline 75w90 (GL5) for the rear diff.

Not gonna change it now, it's cold as **** outside and raining. I'll do what I usually do in the winter time and collect parts, then go nuts in the spring time

I understand. Some parts do best after a short hibernation in the trunk over the winter. Really makes them blossom in the spring!

Are you eventually going eliminator? BAT?

I've been putting this off for a couple weeks after getting the Blauparts kit, which came with an extra quart of fluid.

I have a 98.5 tiptronic.

Do I need a large triple square bit or torx bit for the drain and/or filler plug?
