Totaled my 01A4 and need to buy a new one...
I recently crashed my 01A4. It had all the options w/ automatic quattro 1.8T... So i've been on the lookout for another one and plan to buy one when the insurance money goes through but i'm finding ones with higher miles than mine had (123k when crashed) so i was wondering, how long do these cars usually last. Is it worth it to get one in perfect condition but with 137K on it or get a newer one with less miles but maybe not perfect condition???
Thanks,

You might still be able to find one with under 100K. I bought mine for 4500K with 92K on it in November. Of course I already rolled 100K with all the driving I do.
I was heard that if the maintenance, timing belt and water pump are taken care of you can probably get another 100K out of the car.
Sorry about your car man.
I don't know what your money situation is, but if you have decent credit, you could always consider using the money as a down on a newer Audi. Just don't buy brand spanking new, it's a horrible idea to finance a depreciating asset that losses 33% of it's value the minute you drive it off the lot.
Good luck.

Ya i have good credit, but i've REALLY enjoyed not having a car payment.... I found an 04 1.8T with 70k miles for $7500. If nothing's broken or anything i'll consider this. I'm hoping the insurance won't skimp me too badly on the value of my car and i'm willing to borrow a few grand to get a new one.

Very true, life without a car payment is nice. But think of the trade off's with a lower mileage car, less things can go wrong. Just look around and consider all your options. I once spent 3 months with my mom giving me a ride to work while I found the best freaking deal on my last SUV. And when I got married and that SUV tanked, we waited a month till we found another good deal. I still feel my Audi was a steal. Some folks just don't have patience to wait till their gut tells them to move.

Exactly bringing up things that will need to be done to a car is a great way to negotiate price.

Ya i have good news (at least it is good to me).... I negotiated the insurance company from 3872 to 6181 minus my deductible of course. But that's a fair price since i paid 6000 for the car 1 year ago and put 25k miles on it.
Now i'll just have to take my chances with another used car, something no one likes to do....
