That technology has actually been standard on some cars in Europe for a long time, and i believe that Cadillac actually used to use it in their old V8 engines.
Gas here in the USA only recently became expensive, so Chevy is just dredging back up old technologies and saying they are "revolutionary".

lol phil I was going the speed limit which is 30 on that road, I looked away for a few seconds and looked back and did the OH **** routine. Accidents DO happen I am 19 while that might be a kid to you im definitely not the type to go do a lot of joy riding. Anyways the thread wasn't about how I fucked up driving it was about how much more it takes to own an S4. BTW its not offically totaled but im pretty positive it will be

It doesn't look that bad to me, but i bet your insurance co will total it, since they replace everything with a little scratch on it. I'd guess you could fix it yourself for under $1,000. I've bought 2 A4's with about similar damage with insurance est. to repair for over $3500 and its been about $1000 to fix them, both were white too. If your interested in fixing it, just buy body panels in your color here, or from a junk yard, and look for deals on ebay etc.

It's totalled for sure, insurance companies will fix every single bent or scratched piece of metal. My friend's insurance totalled his '03ish civic because he got t-boned, I saw the damage, all it needs are 2 doors.

I went from an A4 to and S4.... IT'S AWESOME!!!! And it's AMAZING how much more expensive and hard to work on they are!!!! I have dropped over $500 into my car in the last month.... and thats just replacing things that will eventually wear out and did on my car... EGT sensors (used still cost me 200), O2 sensor, tie-rod ends+alignment, Throttle Body Boot (had a 4 inch tear in it causing a huge boost leak). Oh and I did all the work minus the EGT's and the alignment. BUT when the car runs well it is a freaking BLAST to drive! Once my turbos blow up it's going STG 3!

mm from the sounds of it I might not be ready for the expense of an S4 then. UPS part time loader pay isnt that great lol. I may end up looking at a few other cars but ill probably be disappointed. Ill probably still check out the S4 though. I have a few cars in mind if anyone has owned them before or driven them please add your comments about them. Acura RSX, Scion Tc or I may just get another A4 because besides the headaches...I fell in love lol
