im doin a .63 50 trim on my DD, just let the turbo warm up and cool down, and dont drive like an assclown 24/7 and its all good[8D] with the .63 you'll actually stay out of boost a bit more during normal driving, saving gas.
Didnt you know, oil cooled only kills the turbo?

Either let the car idle or invest in a turbo timer

Turbo timers are overrated.

Edit: So how come you favor journal bearings over ball-bearings? It seems like the T3/T4 and the GT2871R elim. series are neck-and-neck.

The 50trim will make far greater power with simular spool.

Gotcha. Even though they're the same price, I think I'm going to stick with the 50 trim; as opposed to the 57 trim. It might be a little too much for a 1.8L engine.

Brian, you're doing the same setup on your DD? What do you have done so far in preparation?

On a side note, your unemployment rate in Ganja Grove is 19%. HAHA, WHAT ARE YOUR PEOPLE DOING, SMOKING WEED ALL DAY AND NOT WORKING!?

Are you going to assemble the custom TIP yourself? For me, it seems as if aftermarket ones are a bit pricey when you can do your own. What are you going to do for it? Perhaps I should look at doing something similar.

I am running a k04 w/pc-16 file and all the upgrades (minus exhaust but thats coming really soon) and my tranny is holding up fine. When i am WOT and shift I will wait till I am up over 5k RPM's and then shift, that way a lot of the torque is gone and it still shifts pretty smooth. Nothing major happened... yet.
