thanks sounds great, I will definately get one this spring. K1196A, I have a few questions about it for you because you have one.
Does the chip increase/decrease the gas mileage of the car?
Does the chip put more wear on the tranny? -the only reason I ask is because I do not want to have to worry about going easy on the tranny if I do get the chip.
Is the chip reliable? Does GIAC warranty the chip?
I found a dealer, but where is the chip in my car and how do I take it out? Guide thread/DIY anywhere?
I would like the chip but again I dont wanna overstress the tranny and engine.
Also, another big question, does the CHIP only mess with the Tiptronic and not any other electrical components of the car? I dont want to have to install this thing and then find out my dash isnt working or my headlights dont turn on.
And, are there any downsides to having the chip? How long have you had it? Any problems at all so far?
Thanks again for the input guys, this really really helps out...

I ran a 15.3 at the track w/tip against a tqm with equal mods that ran 14.7. In the end it's hardly a measureable difference. But of course manual is more fun and engaging. Thats why my other car is a tqm
A tip chip wont speed up the shifts, only the reaction time between pressing the + and when the tranny reacts. For GIAC to advertise "superbike shifting" is pretty shady. There isn't any added line pressure to force it to mechanicaly shift quicker.
