Default Tip-Tronic mode does not work??

Hey Guys,

Ok so to start off I have a 1999.5 A4 1.8T Q Tip-tronic and all of sudden today out of no where my tip-tronic mode just does not work. I will move the shifter into tip mode and if I try to up shift or down shift nothing with happen the car will just basically stay in drive. Does anyone know what could have caused this to happen at all? I do not drive my car hard, I do have an APR chip in the car but I don't think that would be the problem because I have driving it in tip-tronic mode many times before and the car has been chipped for about a year. My car has 149,568km on the odometer as well if that matters at all. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

The magnet that activates your shift probably has fallen out of place. There is a Diy somewhere i'll try to find up and post
