I'd say it's worth the drive... What's the going rate for your crew to do a TB, Jeremy? Is it up to a full case of beer, or just a 12 pack?
Wryfly, if you can turn some wrenches, the job isn't that bad... If not, a quick weekend trip to make some new friends and learn a little something isn't a bad idea... beats the hell out of spending a grand at a shop...

here's the quick run down of needs....
-calipers and rotors all around with new break lines - the crap he pushed outta the lines when he bled it was apparently pretty nasty.
-two control arms
-already did tie rod ends
-sway bar link
-vac leaks
-MAF
-ABS modual
-I had a code for an O2 sensor, but maybe the vac leaks have something to do with that.
-drivers side mirror
-door lock motor thing
-did I mention timing belt
....so should i try to break it down and get through this list
OR
....off to auction
good times good times....

I'm really leaning that way too. I've only had the car for 3 weeks, i've only put 210 miles on it and I already love the car. Figure I'll only like it more once everything is running the way it should.
