Agreed with everyone but part of what James said: the tensioner is the more vulnerable part, but the TB belt isn't that hard. $1200 at the dealer is really a waste of money, you can get the kit for under 300 and DIY. You can't tell if it's going bad, it just does. At 130K, you're about due if it was done when it was supposed to. If you can't find proof of it done (and it shouldn't be hard considering how important it is) you really need to do it soon. 130K on the original TB is a very big bomb, with a very short fuse.

Nick just pick a date and text me. We'll have it done in part of an afternoon. Depending on where you order the parts, it may be cheaper to have it shipped to us here - worth checking on that part.

if you do it your self... use the diy sticky. helped me, i bought my car about a month ago and looked to see if it had been done and nope. so i changed mine at 115k witch was last weekend

wasn't too bad, was it, Caliman? Some basic mechanical knowledge and some tools and it shouldn't be a problem, plus the collective experience from the members here if you get snagged on something.

naw not bad at all. very good wright up did have a little wrestling match with my bumper corners they didnt want to pop out but i won that match
