Timing Belt and Water Pump

Sounds like someone shoulda bought a honda (hehe). All seriousness, buy the kit yourself (quality) and pay to have it installed. Most garages make a lot of their money on over pricing parts. I was a manager at autozone and commercial customers get discounts, so they tell you the part is 200 dollars, and buy it for 90 dollars, well they just made 110 dollars on your part let alone over priced labor. Find someone who is close to give you a hand and save some cash !

OP, let me help sift through all of this for you... CCA4 is dead on with www.blauparts.com. IMHO, the most complete kit, from a reputable source, for just under 300 bucks. That even include coolant and everything.
If you have a garage and some basic tools, you're good to go. Blauparts has a special tools kit rental. cost about 30 bucks for the week, and they give you the box to mail it back in. You have to cough up 300 buck as a deposit, but it is refunded very quickly.
They also include some good directions.
You can knock it out yourself in a day, save yourself a few hundred bucks, and appreciate doing some good hard work on your own car. Of course, after you do all this, you're going to wonder what you can tackle next.
Personally, I've never touched a 2.8l, but there are several here who have, namely ImTheDevil, who can help you out via the interwebz if you get stuck of have a question.
ECStuning.com is also a very reputable site. I have ordered many thing from them with no hassle. However, I went with blauparts.com for the TB.
The ONLY thing you should ever think about buying for your car from ebay it the FCPGroton control arms.
Hope all this helps. Yes, you can do the job yourself.
