Default Timing Belt Skip Failure.

Well about few weeks ago while driving; I hit an invisible dip at around 20 mph due to my bad right D2S headlight or my failure at driving.

I'm just a warehouse worker in California that makes 470 after taxes a week. So this is my Attempt to getting back in to mobilization.

Serpentine belt shredded and wrapped around the crank. Timing belt is still in 1 piece but not in time

it wouldn't start due to no compression I found out that the person i bought it from didn't replace nothing at all. Because I see nothing but one time use clamps lol.

First i ordered the timing belt kit and snub mount for 250 from ecs tuning

Got a Head bolt tool for 35 from a local parts store. Rather then buying for 20 on ecs tuning and waiting for it to get to me or buying it for 50 at audi dealership.

Then i ordered the gasket kit "80", Cooling Flange "12", Dipstick "8", Vac Tubing "10" total was $135 shipped. From Purems.

Ecs tuning is located far from me but Purems is in my state of california so shipping is varied also prices. No doubt Ecs right now has the best prices for timing belt kit's.

The cooling flange and dipstick and vac tubing i bought because they simply broke very easily. There is other parts that broke too but i still need to research what exactly they are.

I get paid this thursday and will be ordering 20 new valves and head bolts.

Head bolts $20 Intake valves 12x$10 Exhaust Valves 8x$20

So far my money into it will be 720 within 3 pay periods including this thursday.

Ill get to find out later today how much to get it the cylinder head resurfaced and valves installed later :-( Hopefully cheap since Ive already removed the valves and cleaned it out real good. Ill be working on pictures and updating my disaster recovery.

Can i install the valves my self?

You could install the valves yourself if you have the tools. I know you said you are short on cash, but my local machine shop only charges 2.00 a valve to replace them, providing you pull the cams. You may want to consider doing the cam seals also if they were leaking at all while you have it apart this far.

If you need any random head pieces let me know (aside from valves), as I had to swap my ATQ motor this year.

i prefer my timing kits from FCPgroton.com, jeremy uses them as well, they uber cheap and great quality, always on sale and FAST (usually free over 100 bucks)shipping.

X2 on FCP TB kits. Mine came with a Continental Timing Belt and a Metal impeller water pump. Quality stuff there.

Same with my ECS kit, they're probably all the same parts.
