Timing belt ripped at idle
Hi I have a 2001 Audi a4 1.8t awm motor. I just did the timing belt on the 2 of Dec and I went to start my car on Wednesday 7 dec 2016, anyways when I went to start it my belt was making a funny noise so I shut the car off, as I was shutting the car off it die and I went to check the problem my new belt ripped. I know what people going to say did u put it in right yes I did. I did every bolt by torkspects and the tensioner 8-10 mm gap. Can anyone give me any advice or to tell me if my motor is good or not.
The timing kit I got from dayco and I've been trying to contact them for a few days left a few voice mail no one call me back.

only thing I would ask is, did you pull the pin on the tensioner? You should rotate the crank at least one full revolution to make sure your marks all line up again after you install the T belt. if your belt stripped then something stopped it and that could very well be valve to piston contact, which ain't good. did the car run/rotate before you did the T belt? did you pull the front clip off again to see it stripped, ie, how did you know it was stripped?

Yes I did 2 full rotation. Timing match up both times. Yes I pull the pen on the tensioner at the right gap. Yeah car ran just fine. The reason I did a timing belt was the water pump was leaking from the seal. I haven't pull the front end yet to see the damage. But the belt didn't ripp all the way it sliced in one spot kinda went half way down the belt but there still tension on the belt witch I can't be 100 percent it's all on the gears but there is still tension.
